Academic Career Support Center (ACSC)
The ACSC supports undergraduate students who are considering furthering their education at the graduate level. Through consultations, workshops, and guest lectures, the ACSC helps students find the right graduate school or professional graduate school inside or outside Japan across fields and regions.
Support through Counseling
The ACSC provides individual and group counseling on the advantages and disadvantages of entering graduate school, academic planning before, during, and after study abroad, study and living in graduate schools in Japan and abroad, fees and scholarships, graduate school application support, and more.
Lectures
AIU alumni who have completed master’s degrees are invited to talk about their graduate studies, research, and diverse postgraduate career development.
Workshops

Partnerships with Graduate Schools
SOAS University of London
SOAS University of London in the UK is a top European institution of higher education focused on research in humanities and social sciences in Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. AIU and SOAS have partnered since the academic year 2020 to give students who completed an AIU undergraduate program (and who fulfill certain criteria) a “progression route,” or priority admission, to SOAS graduate studies (MA/MSc, taught courses) for one year.
Nara Institute of Science and Technology (NAIST)
A Comprehensive partnership agreement with NAIST was concluded in 2023. Undergraduate students who meet the prescribed criteria may apply to NAIST’s Graduate School of Science and Technology (Information Science Category, Biological Science Category, and Materials Science Category) through the recommended admission system.
Thunderbird School of Global Management, Arizona State University
The University signed an agreement with Arizona State University Thunderbird School of Global Management to establish the “4+1” program in 2023. The program enables students to earn both a bachelor’s degree from AIU and a master’s degree from ASU Thunderbird in five years by completing one year of study at ASU Thunderbird after graduation from AIU. Students must take ASU Thunderbird online courses and earn graduate credit while at AIU. ASU Thunderbird offers a wide range of specializations from business to public policy to data science, and eligible undergraduate students from any AIU program can apply for this program.
