Are you a former exchange student studied abroad at AIU?: A Message from AIU’s Graduate School

Dear former exchange students at AIU,

Greetings from Akita!

I hope that this message finds you in good spirits and rekindles your fond memories of Japan and Akita.

Today, I am writing specifically to international students who have spent more than one semester here at AIU in the past few years.

Now that you are about to graduate, or have recently graduated from your undergraduate program, some of you may be considering graduate studies, and to possibly pursue it in Japan. We frequently receive applications for our graduate school from those who studied abroad at AIU, and therefore, please allow me to briefly introduce our graduate school to you.

Established in 2008, our graduate school is comprised of three subject areas, English Language Teaching Practices, Japanese Language Teaching Practices, and Global Communication Practices. All students learn theories in the classroom and then apply them in the real world through internships and teaching practices, thus deepening their theoretical knowledge and its process to application.

In addition, our graduate school has three screenings each year, in October, January, and June, which allows MA candidates to start their graduate studies in either April or September. The screenings of applicants are conducted by documents submitted.
